Annual Flower Show . . .

Holford Gardeners Group held its 7th annual Flower Show on 6th August 2011. Taking place in our local village hall, this archetypal village show embodies all that is special in rural communities.

The Flower Show Committee and volunteers from our Gardeners Group provided a professional looking stage for group members and local people to display their entries. Despite this year's poor summer weather, the exhibits were just as colourful as those of previous years and just as hotly contested.

Garden flowers, vegetables, baking and photography classes are always popular and were well represented and the children's classes continue to grow, as do the art and craft sections.

The new schedule, classes and entry form for 2012 will be available here on line in early summer and the show will be held as usual in the Holford & District Village Hall on Saturday 4th August at 2pm. For added enjoyment – there will be a tombola, delicious cream teas, plants and produce for sale and a very warm welcome to all visitors. Do come !
